Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group seeks a Hospice Supervisor to oversee the Hospice House and Community Based Hospice program, ensuring 24-hour coverage and adherence to agency policies. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading performance improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a background in nursing with supervisory experience, a current RN license for Iowa, and at least 2 years in hospice settings.

As a Hospice Supervisor at MercyOne, you will provide overall supervision of personnel and service operations for the Hospice House and Community Based Hospice program across 24 hours. Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures, preparation for compliance with regulatory agencies, identification of program development needs and assists in implementation. Actively participates in quality monitoring performance improvement activities. Responsible for productivity management, new staff orientation, and ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill.

Schedule

• Full time 40 hours a week

General Requirements

• Supervisory Responsibility: Large Group Responsibility (Multiple Shift): The job requires direct supervision of more than 12 employees. Job duties include the full range of supervisory activities such as hiring, training, assigning, monitoring and assessing work, promoting etc. Work involves ensuring that human resource related decisions are compatible with the organization's policies, practices and direction. Incumbent has multiple shift responsibilities for staff.
• Materials Responsibility: Moderate: Work requires moderate responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include operating budgets for a work unit or department, specialized equipment, costly or unusual materials or supplies, large amounts of cash or other material assets. Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent professional Experience is required
• Nursing Or related Field
• Basic Life Support
• RN License in Iowa required at time of hire. Illinois required within 12 months
• Valid Drivers license, Auto insurance – Genesis minimum limits required
• More than 2 years experience in Hospice Agency. Must possess progressive supervisory or leadership experience.
