Job summary

MercyOne is hiring a CNA-Hospice Aide for full-time day shift in the Community Hospice department. Provides personal care, assists with ADLs, exercises, meals, and environmental tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requires CNA certification/75-hour nurse aide course in Iowa or Illinois registry, a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and Basic Life Support. More than one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification/75-hour nurse aide course State of Iowa or Direct Care Worker Registry State of Illinois, second state required within 6 months of hire.
• Driver's License; Auto Insurance-Genesis minimum limits required.
• Basic Life Support training.
• More than 1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) for hospice patients.
• Assist with exercises, meal preparation and environmental tasks under supervision of a Registered Nurse; participate in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
