Job summary

Cherish Hospice in Youngstown seeks an on-the-road STNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care to patients in their homes or care facilities.

You will follow an established plan of care under RN supervision, document care, and maintain patient comfort while adhering to policy, with up to 50% travel. Full-time position with benefits including 401(k), health and dental insurance, PTO, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• STNA license required.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% to patient residences and care facilities.
• Hospice or geriatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients according to the care plan.
• Follow the plan under RN supervision.
• Observe, document, and report patient status and care performed.
• Maintain documentation of services per policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure timely documentation of patient services per plan.
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Cherish-Hospice is seeking an on the road STNA Hospice Aide’s in the Youngstown Area. As a hospice aide you can help enhance the quality of life for the patient by providing personal care and related assigned services to hospice patients directly.

STNA Hospice Aide Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care according to the patient’s needs. Carry out the duties assigned to increase the patient’s level of comfort, and to maintain personal hygiene and a safe environment for the patient.

• Care provided is in accordance with an established plan of care and under the supervision of a RN

• Observe the patient, report observations and document observations and care performed.

• Document the care provided and the patient’s response to care in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory standards.

• Provide timely documentation of patient services based on plan of care.

• Adhere to Company policies and procedures and regulatory compliance requirements and directives.

STNA Hospice Aide Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Travel as necessary (up to 50% of the time) to service patients in their residence of care, which includes home, assisted living facilities, long term care facility, and hospital.

• STNA License (Required)

• Driver's License (Required)

• Hospice experience (Preferred)

• Geriatrics experience (Preferred)

• Hospice and Palliative Medicine (Preferred)
