Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years’ medical billing, collection and account resolution experience.
• Experience with nursing home room and board billing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, CareFirst, Medical Assistance, Commercial insurance, and HMOs.

Responsibilities

• Manages nursing home claims processing from eligibility through resolution, including adjusting claims.
• Manages large account spreadsheets and communicates with nursing home partners.
• Performs inpatient unit room and board billing and follow-ups.
• Responds to patient and payor inquiries via email, phone, mail, or in person.
• Troubleshoots claim discrepancies to resolution.
