Job summary

Westminster- Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse (PRN) for the Hospice House in Virginia Beach. This on-site, part-time role offers 12-hour shifts (days or nights) with hospice-focused nursing care under the Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads.

Responsibilities include documentation, end-of-life clinical services, team support, and on-call rotation. Active Virginia RN license and BLS CPR required; EMR proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license issued by Virginia or compact state.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification (BLS).
• Demonstrated ability with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Google software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clinical and progress notes documenting outcomes.
• Provide end-of-life care within the hospice plan of care.
• Offer guidance and clinical support for the Hospice Team.
• Prepare equipment and materials adhering to aseptic technique.
• Assist patients in learning self-care techniques.
• Assess patient/family response to care.
• Ensure timely communication to team members.
• Rotate on-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
