Job summary
Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Hospice RN to provide compassionate end-of-life care within The Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads. This nonprofit Life Plan Community emphasizes dignity and comfort. The role requires Virginia RN license, 2+ years nursing, BLS, and EMR proficiency.
Night shift 7pm-7am, three 12-hour shifts per week, with night differential. Full-time benefits available.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in VA or compact state.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Current CPR certification (BLS).
- Experience with EMR and Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the clinical and progress notes documenting outcomes of interventions.
- Perform specialized duties related to end-of-life care.
- Provide guidance and clinical support for the Hospice Team.
- Prepare equipment and materials for treatment adhering to aseptic technique as required.
- Assist the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
- Assess patient/family response to care.
- Ensure communication of information to appropriate team members.
- Rotate on call as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
