Job summary

Queen City Hospice in Ohio is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our compassionate team. You will serve as the primary triage nurse for after-hours calls, assessing patient and family needs and coordinating appropriate care.

We prioritize work‑life balance and provide strong support, manageable caseloads, and opportunities to contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care. Applicants must have an accredited RN program degree, an Ohio license, CPR, and at least two years of nursing

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current Ohio RN license.
  • Minimum two years of professional nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary triage nurse for after-hours calls, assessing needs and coordinating appropriate care.
  • Evaluate physical, emotional, social, and spiritual factors impacting patient and family well-being and involve the interdisciplinary team as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with attending physicians, team members, and partner agencies to ensure seamless, high-quality care.
  • Perform clinical pronouncements of death and provide compassionate support to families.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation including care plans, progress notes, and updates.
