Job summary

CorsoCare Hospice in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day coverage, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, serving Shaker Heights or West Cleveland. You will provide in-home Hospice care, support families, and coordinate with the IDG to maintain quality patient outcomes.

Required: Ohio RN license and 2+ years of RN experience; strong independent judgment, crisis handling, and cultural sensitivity are essential. Travel between assigned home locations is involved.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state (Ohio).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferred.
• Active patient contact within the last 3 years, preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make quick judgments.
• Ability to supervise others appropriately.
• Ability to respond to crises outside hospital settings.
• Acceptance of diverse social, racial, cultural and religious modes.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assesses and reassesses nursing needs of Hospice patients.
• Provides Hospice nursing services, treatments and preventive procedures.
• Initiates nursing procedures for Hospice care and safety.
• Observes changes and reports to physician and IDG members.
• Teaches and counsels patient and family on care at home.
• Supervises and trains nursing staff.
• Develops and reevaluates the care plan with IDG involvement.
• Attends team conferences and maintains records.
