Job summary

Haven Hospice in Gainesville, FL is seeking a passionate Hospice Registered Nurse for PRN 12-hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a). You will provide one-on-one patient care, develop care plans, administer medications, and educate families while working with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive environment.

Qualified candidates are RNs licensed in Florida with CPR certification and hospice experience preferred. Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to work biweekly on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured vehicle in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
• Create hospice care plans that align with patient wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support the patient’s family and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.
