Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to lead patient-centered, comfort-focused hospice care in home, facility, and community settings across Mississippi. You will manage the plan of care, monitor symptoms, and guide families with empathy and clinical excellence.

You will work autonomously with strong team support, delivering dignified end-of-life care while coordinating with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides to ensure quality and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or compact eligibility).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and compassionate care approach.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent communication skills in sensitive situations.
• Basic EMR proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plan of care for hospice patients and manage symptoms.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary team as case manager.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in care planning.
