Job summary

Hospice of New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as Clinical Director, leading an interdisciplinary team of RNs, aides, social workers, and chaplains. The role collaborates with the Program Director, Hospice Physician, and Community Liaisons to ensure care quality and adherence to guidelines.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a clear career path, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm and administrative on-call. Bloomfield territory, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Registered Nurse with a current state license to practice.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a nurse, including 1 year direct patient care in hospice/home health/oncology.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in hospice or home health care preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention, pain and symptom control, clinical bedside nursing, and family counseling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee a spectrum of patient services in alignment with hospice program policies.
• Provide guidance and support to an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Conduct chart audits and ensure medical records compliance with regulations.
• Participate in crafting orientation and in-service training for nursing & clinical staff.
• Evaluate and uplift clinical staff performance during probation and annually.
• Lead interdisciplinary team gatherings to refine Care Plans and foster collaboration.
