Job summary

VITAS Healthcare in Pensacola, FL is seeking an experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients in their homes. You will assess pain and comfort, coordinate with families, and support the patient’s dignity throughout the journey.

The role involves 4–6 patient visits daily, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and nursing care at the bedside with autonomy to tailor plans to each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort and compassionate connections to hospice patients in home settings.
• Autonomously make bedside care decisions to ensure patient comfort.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including social workers, physicians, chaplains, and nurses.
