Job summary

Hospice Austin is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive hospice care across homecare and facility settings in the Spicewood/Austin area. The role includes admissions visits, comprehensive assessments, and developing personalized plans of care to manage symptoms and support families.

You will coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, supervise aides, and ensure high-quality documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas
• CPR certification
• Driver's license and safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for hospice patients in homecare and facility settings.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments, develops and updates plans of care, manages symptoms.
• Coordinates with physicians and IDT members for care planning and discharge planning.
• Supervises CNAs, LVNs, and homemakers; ensures timely documentation.
• Delivers education to patients, families, and facility staff on hospice philosophy and care processes.
• Documents assessments and care progress in agency and facility records.
