Job summary

Requirements include RN licensure and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with hospice exposure preferred. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in the state.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with a reliably insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
• Create hospice care plans that align with patient wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support the patient's family and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.
