Job summary

Hospice Of Surry County is seeking an experienced RN for home-based on-call after-hours coverage in Yadkinville, NC. You will respond to calls, assess needs, and provide hands-on nursing care when required in patients' homes.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with the hospice team to ensure seamless continuity of care, offer symptom relief, comfort, and compassionate support to patients and families, and select from flexible after-hours schedules that fit your life.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Hospice or home health nursing experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service area as needed.

Looking for a nursing opportunity that offers independence, flexibility, and meaningful work?

At Mountain Valley Hospice, our after-hours nurses provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients and families when they need it most. Unlike traditional night shift positions, our after-hours RNs are primarily on-call from home, responding to patient needs and making visits when necessary.

You'll have the independence to work from home between patient care needs while remaining available to provide hands-on nursing care throughout your assigned service area.

Available Schedules

We have several after-hours nursing opportunities:

• Monday-Thursday: 5 PM-8 AM
• Friday-Sunday: 4 PM-8 AM
• Rotating Nights: 5 PM-8 AM, with every other weekend scheduled

• Ability to remain within the assigned service area during scheduled on-call hours and travel to patients' homes when needed.
