Job summary

Luminary Hospice seeks a Director of Revenue Cycle to own the entire revenue cycle for a growing multi-state organization. The role oversees eligibility, verification, authorization, NOEs, and all billing activities, ensuring compliant, timely payments.

The ideal candidate has hospice revenue cycle expertise, leadership in multi-site settings, and strong vendor and process improvement skills to scale with new locations and payers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years healthcare revenue cycle experience, 5+ years in leadership; hospice revenue cycle required.
• Experience leading revenue cycle for multi-site hospice, across states.
• Expert knowledge of Medicare Hospice Benefit and hospice billing processes.
• Experience with third-party RCM vendors and audits.
• Proven ability to build or turnaround revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Own full revenue cycle across all sites and states, incl. KPI oversight.
• Set strategy, policies, staffing, goals; report to executives.
• Lead front-end functions: eligibility, verification, authorizations, financial clearance.
• Oversee NOE/NOTR filing, claim submission, denials, and appeals.
• Drive timely resolution of claim holds and ensure timely billing cycle.
• Oversee posting, adjustments, reconciliations, and GL alignment.
• Own Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and Hospice Cap reporting.
• Manage third-party RCM vendor performance and SLAs.
• Partner with local agencies to enforce best practices.
• Standardize workflows, dashboards, and compliance with CoPs and HIPAA.
