Job summary

Luminary Hospice seeks a Director of Revenue Cycle to own the entire revenue cycle for a growing, multi-site hospice organization. You will oversee eligibility, claims processing, denials management, and cash applications across sites and payers.

This hands-on leader partners with a third-party RCM vendor, local agencies, and finance to drive accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with CMS and Hospice CoPs, supporting scalable growth as new sites are added.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in healthcare revenue cycle with 5+ years in leadership; hospice revenue cycle experience required.
• Experience leading multi-site hospice revenue cycle across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of Medicare Hospice Benefit and related billing workflow.
• Experience managing a third-party RCM vendor via SLAs, scorecards, audits.
• Proven ability to build or turnaround revenue cycle operations with strong analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own the full hospice revenue cycle across sites and states with KPI oversight.
• Set revenue cycle strategy, policies, staffing, and report to leadership.
• Lead front-end functions: eligibility, verification, authorizations, and financial clearance.
• Own pre-billing audit and revenue integrity across levels of care, SIA, and rate maintenance.
• Oversee NOE/NOTR filing, monthly claim submission, RTP correction, timely filing, payer follow-up, denials, and appeals.
• Drive timely resolution of claim holds and NOE issues to ensure on-time billing.
• Oversee payment posting, adjustments, recoupments, credits, and GL reconciliation.
• Own Medicare and Medicaid enrollment for all provider numbers and Hospice Cap reporting.
