Job summary

Luminary Hospice seeks a Director of Revenue Cycle to own the end-to-end revenue cycle across multiple sites and states. This role is the single accountable executive for getting paid accurately, compliantly, and on time, while overseeing our third-party vendor and partnerships with local agencies.

The ideal candidate has deep hospice reimbursement knowledge, leads with data, and builds scalable processes, policies, and a high-performing revenue cycle team to support growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including 5+ years in leadership; hospice revenue cycle experience required.
• Experience leading the full revenue cycle for a multi-site hospice organization across multiple states
• Expert knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit and hospice billing from eligibility to payment and denial management
• Experience managing a third-party RCM or billing vendor through SLAs, scorecards, and audits
• Experience collaborating with agency or field leadership to reduce claim holds and improve documentation
• Proven ability to build or turn around revenue cycle operations with strong analytics and leadership

Responsibilities

• Own the full hospice revenue cycle across all sites and states, including KPI oversight (cash, DSO, unbilled days, denials, aging).
• Set strategy, policies, staffing, and goals; report performance and risks to executives.
• Lead front-end functions: eligibility/benefit verification, authorizations, and financial clearance.
• Oversee pre-billing audit, revenue integrity, and coding accuracy across levels of care.
• Oversee NOE/NOTR filing, timely submission, and payer follow-up/appeals for ADR/TPE.
