Job summary

Luminary Hospice is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to own and optimize the organization’s entire revenue cycle across multiple states and sites. This hands-on leader will manage a third-party RCM vendor, collaborate with local agencies, and drive best practices to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payments.

The role requires deep hospice reimbursement knowledge, NOEs, CTIs, ADRs, and room-and-board rules, with accountability for cash, aging, and denials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field
• 10+ years in healthcare revenue cycle, including 5+ years in leadership
• Experience leading the full revenue cycle for a multi-site hospice organization across multiple states
• Expert knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit and hospice billing from eligibility through payment
• Experience managing a third-party RCM or billing vendor through SLAs, scorecards, and audits

Responsibilities

• Own the full hospice revenue cycle across all sites and states, with KPI ownership
• Set revenue cycle strategy, policies, staffing, and goals; report performance to executives
• Lead front-end functions: eligibility verification, authorizations, and financial clearance
• Oversee NOE/NOTR filing, claim submission, and denials management
• Drive timely resolution of claim holds and ensure billing cycles go out on time
• Oversee payment posting, adjustments, and reconciling cash to the ledger
• Own Medicare/Medicaid enrollment and Hospice Cap monitoring for new sites and acquisitions
• Manage third-party RCM vendor performance and vendor oversight
• Collaborate with local agencies to standardize revenue cycle best practices
• Train agency teams on paperwork, CTI, and documentation requirements
