As a Hospice Respiratory Therapist you will provide superior respiratory care and coordination of hospice services in a manner that meets specific patients need, Ohio’s Hospice standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation (COP) and achieves desired outcome of comfortable and peaceful death for patients. Respiratory visits will be prioritized on patients’ emergent needs, diagnosis, and complex equipment needs. Respiratory patient visits are required for patients with a diagnosis of ALS, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Respiratory Failure. Visits for patients with lung cancer will be based on nurse request or respiratory complexity of patient’s care. Complex needs include C-PAP, BiPAP, Tracheostomy, and high flow O2.
