Job summary

Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, IA, is seeking a Hospice Resource RN to join our not-for-profit team. You will provide expert clinical care, education and support, ensuring continuity of care during census changes, staff illness, and vacations.

The role is full-time, with on-site duties based at our Waterloo office and local coverage within 30 minutes of Waterloo. You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, monitor patient needs, and

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn work-related software.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to hospice patients in homes and healthcare facilities.
• Deliver compassionate end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity and quality of life.
• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor changes in condition and update plan of care.
• Educate and support patients, caregivers and families.
