Job summary

Liberty Hospice is seeking a qualified Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem weekend shifts serving Columbus and Bladen Counties in North Carolina. You will apply nursing theories, document care per reimbursement guidelines, and coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and the Hospice team.

The ideal candidate holds current RN licensure in the state, has at least two years of clinical nursing experience with hospice preferred, and is willing to travel as needed for

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience; hospice experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Willingness to travel per agency needs for weekend/evening/holiday calls.

Responsibilities

• Apply working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts.
• Care documentation meeting reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician and Hospice team.
• Communicate with patients/families and with agency personnel.
• Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.
