Job summary

Liberty Hospice in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem shifts (Mon-Fri or Weekends). Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in state of practice.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of home health and hospice care programs.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to travel as needed; weekend/evening and holiday on-call.

Responsibilities

• Apply a working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts.
• Care documentation that meets reimbursement guidelines.
• Coordinate physical care with family, patient, physician, and Hospice team.
• Communicate with patients and families at all levels.
• Coordinate with all agency personnel.
• Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.
