Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Night shift Registered Nurse - Hospice in Florida. This role coordinates and implements the plan of care for hospice patients across settings to ensure quality of life.

Requires FL RN license and an Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree is a plus. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. The position includes after-hours and weekend coverage with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Florida.
• Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Valid driving license and good driving record are required for this position.
• Professionalism in interpersonal communication with patients, families, colleagues, physicians and staff.
• Personal professional development, accountability, organization and leadership in professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides all aspects of care for the terminally ill patient.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Completes initial and ongoing assessments.
• Provides pain and symptom management.
• Develops an Interdisciplinary Plan of Care reflecting pt./family goals.
• Uses critical thinking in care delivery.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and positive working relationships.
• Promotes a holistic approach to terminally ill care.
