Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Night shift Certified Nursing Assistant for our hospice services in Florida. The CNA will provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of RNs/LPNs, take vitals, monitor intake/output, and document care using paper and computer systems.

A friendly, team-focused approach and strong communication are essential. Required are a Florida CNA certificate and a high school diploma or GED; at least basic computer skills; and a patient-service mindset to

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Florida CNA certification required.
Minimum of one year's experience preferred.
Must possess good computer skills.
Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with Team Members.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to assist in providing exceptional care for patients and families.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Take vital signs and record fluid intake and output.
Recognize and report changes in patient condition; document care on written flow sheet and computer.
Maintain a positive attitude and demeanor; be an effective team member with strong communication.
