Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice is seeking a full‑time Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) in Sibley, LA to deliver compassionate in‑home and facility patient care.

The RN will assess patients, implement the Hospice Plan of Care, educate families, and coordinate with physicians and the hospice team to ensure high‑quality end‑of‑life care. Candidates must hold a Louisiana RN license, maintain CPR certification, and have at least 2 years of RN experience in relevant settings.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Louisiana.
• Minimum 2 years full-time RN experience in oncology, acute care, long-term care, hospice, or home health care; hospice experience preferred.
• CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Assist in developing and implementing the Hospice Plan of Care.
• Educate patient and family on Plan of Care, medications, dressing changes, oxygen, and hospice philosophy.
• Act as primary liaison between physician, patient/family, and hospice team.
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records.
