Interim HealthCare Hospice in Madison, WI is hiring a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to cover the Madison and surrounding area. You’ll provide home-based care focused on quality of life, working with an interdisciplinary team.

You’ll assess patients, monitor vitals, educate families, manage medications, and advocate for comfort and peace. This role offers a base salary with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, ideally in hospice or home healthcare.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Clinical proficiency, strong communication and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, and administer prescribed medication.
• Educate family on prognosis, care plan changes, medications, and hospice goals.
• Take a holistic approach to care engaging patient, family, mind, body and spirit.
