Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development in Newburgh, IN to lead business development initiatives across our service areas.

You will manage referrals, payer relationships, and budget planning, while directing a BD team and coordinating with clinical leadership to optimize patient volumes and service lines. The role requires a Bachelor's in marketing/healthcare, 1–3 years in hospice BD, and strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or healthcare related field.
• 1–3 years experience in health care business development management, preferably in hospice care operations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Ability to aggressively grow business and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
• Knowledge of corporate business management.
• Demonstrates good communications skills, negotiation skills, and public relations skills.
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
• Ability to pass DHS background study.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily business development operations and oversee BD initiatives.
• Manage CRM and CRM activity for the BD team.
• Assist in patient volume projections and annual budgets for marketing per site.
• Develop market assessments and a marketing plan to meet volume projections.
• Utilize marketing/promotional initiatives to achieve projections.
• Maintain positive relationships with referral and payer sources.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding of BD team.
• Build community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of the organization.
• Support strategic planning with the Director of Patient Services and identify service opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of markets, government agencies, payers, referrals, and competitors.
• Share hospice BD knowledge with organization personnel.
• Develop community resources and assist customers in accessing them.
• Monitor and report cost effectiveness of BD efforts.
• Forecast requirements and assist in annual budget with leadership.
• Create BD objectives and collaborate on strategies and projections.
• Expand customer base by engaging community coordinators.
