Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Marketing/Referral Relations professional to build positive referral partnerships and educate communities about hospice care.

This role supports intake, coordinates marketing operations, and helps drive budgeted patient volumes across defined territories in Iowa. The incumbent will work with the Director of Patient Services/Regional Director, mentor Care Transition Team members, and contribute to strategic planning and community outreach to expand services.

Qualifications

• Associates degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
• Ability to position services to customers tactfully and effectively.
• Demonstrates strong communications, negotiation, and public relations abilities.
• Shows autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet admission and call volume targets.
• Coordinate daily sales and marketing operations and implement marketing initiatives.
• Build and monitor perceptions of St. Croix Hospice as a high-quality provider.
• Document all sales activity in the CRM per requirements.
• Drive marketing initiatives to achieve budgeted sales volumes.
• Know markets, referral sources, and major payer groups.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about hospice to support informed decisions.
• Assist Director in setting volume projections and marketing allocations.
• Monitor resources and budget alignment for marketing activities.
• Support marketing events, vendor fairs, and territory activities.
• Mentor Care Transition Coordinators and orient new staff on marketing.
• Provide leadership in strategic planning to expand services.
