Job summary

Altus Hospice Care in Waco, TX is seeking a Program Director to provide strategic leadership for our hospice program. You will oversee operations, ensure quality care, manage finances, and cultivate external market relationships while guiding daily activities with our mission-driven team.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care, or business, plus hospice or health care management experience and knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health care, or business administration preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related programs.
• Two years of hospice experience with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and DADS regulations.
• Operations and/or Sales Leadership experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community and staff to support Hospice Mission.

Responsibilities

• Forge strong connections with physicians, hospitals, and facilities to extend reach.
• Build the dream team through hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation.
• Be the backbone of excellence by organizing administrative functions and local operations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead day-to-day management of the hospice program and local operations.
• Implement policies and procedures approved by the governing body.
