Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Program Director to oversee our Hospice Program in Waco and surrounding areas, including Temple. This leadership role focuses on growth, external market relationships, financial management, customer service and quality care delivery.

The position requires guiding day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and partnering with senior management to drive program success. On-call hours and a demanding schedule are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, or business administration preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related health programs.
• Two years of hospice experience with knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and aging/disability services regs.

Responsibilities

• Forge strong connections with physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other partners.
• Build the dream team by hiring, orienting, and training staff.
• Be the backbone of excellence by organizing and supervising administrative functions.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead day-to-day management and operations of the hospice program.
• Implement policies and procedures approved by governing body.
