Job summary

Gentiva Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Physician to ensure the delivery of compassionate, goal-directed care to hospice patients. You will oversee compliance with regulations, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and support quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in medicine, valid medical license in Florida, and hospice-related certifications. Benefits include competitive pay and a 401(k) plan. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in a specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA-BOS, preferably primary care.
• Current and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
• Valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and DEA registration for controlled substances.
• Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certification preferred.
• Ability to travel 15-25% based on program needs.
• CPR and TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Certify and recertify hospice eligibility, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Conduct and supervise patient visits, including home consultations.
• Provide 24/7 physician coverage coordination.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and support regulatory reviews.
• Participate in interdisciplinary group meetings to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor pharmacy utilization and ensure appropriate medication prescribing.
