Job summary

A leading hospice care provider in Albuquerque seeks a compassionate Hospice Physician to deliver goal-directed care to patients. This role involves certifying hospice eligibility, conducting patient visits, and overseeing quality improvements in care delivery. The ideal candidate holds a doctorate in medicine and has board certification. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and exceptional communication abilities. The physician will invoice for services rather than being employed directly. Competitive pay and benefits are offered for both full-time and part-time associates.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in a specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA-BOS, preferably primary care.
• Current and unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Certify and recertify hospice eligibility, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Conduct face-to-face patient visits, including complex cases.
• Provide 24/7 on-call physician coverage coordination.
