Job summary
Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Hospice/ Palliative Care Physician to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We offer a nationally competitive salary with relocation allowance available, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.
As attending for hospice patients in the community and Presbyterian hospice units, you will develop care plans aligned with patients' goals, supervise the hospice team, and ensure timely documentation
Qualifications
- MD/DO in a primary medical field appropriate to ABHPM standards.
- Five or more years experience preferred.
- Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred.
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine expected within 2 years of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assumes the attending role for hospice patients in the community and Presbyterian hospice units.
- Develops a recommended plan of care with patient and family in line with goals of care.
- Relieves suffering using clinical skills and supports the hospice care team.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation to support billing and compliance.
