Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Hospice/Palliative Care Physician to join our Albuquerque practice. We offer a nationally competitive salary, relocation allowance, CME allowance and fully paid malpractice insurance.

MD/DO in a primary medical field; five+ years experience preferred; fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred; board certification expected within 2 years of employment.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in a primary medical field
• Five or more years experience preferred
• Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine expected within 2 years of employment

Responsabilités

• Assumes attending role for hospice patients in the community and Presbyterian hospice units
• Consults with patient and family to develop a plan of care aligned with goals
• Relieves suffering of patients and families
• Provides oversight of hospice care team RN, APN or PAs as required by Medical Staff Bylaws
• Maintains coding and encounter data standards for billing and documentation
• Documents direct patient care services to support billing
