Job summary

Liberty Hospice is part of Liberty Healthcare Management and is seeking an experienced Hospice Operations Support Technician. This full-time role supports mail handling, data entry, medical records, supplies, cross-training, and infection control within a compassionate hospice environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years of office experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus typing 45–50 WPM and a 10-key calculator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of general office experience and data entry preferred, healthcare setting ideal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.
• Ability to communicate clearly with good grammar.
• Strong computer skills with common software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Typing 45–50 WPM and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Job Description:

• Assist in managing incoming and outgoing mail.
• Process and enter daily reports of visits, flow notes, and medical supplies.
• Establish and maintain client medical records in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
• Order, receive, and stock medical supplies and maintain inventory control in accordance with established agency policy and procedure.
• Assist in performing cross‑training.
• Implement infection and exposure control measures in accordance with the agency exposure control plan.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical functions in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of general office experience and data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette.
• Ability to communicate clearly, using good grammar.
