Job summary

Concho Hearts Hospice is seeking an experienced PRN On-Call Registered Nurse to provide after-hours care across Corpus Christi and surrounding communities. You will assess patients, relieve symptoms, and coordinate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include responding to after-hours calls, performing visits as needed, managing pain, and documenting care. Texas RN license and hospice experience are required; travel after hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or NLC.
• Hospice on-call experience required.
• Experience with pain management and end-of-life care.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Able to travel to patient homes after hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours RN coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Respond to calls requiring nursing assessment or intervention.
• Complete in-person visits when clinically indicated.
• Assess changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Manage pain, symptoms, and urgent care needs.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely.
