Job summary

New Day Hospice in Texas is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to cover League City and surrounding areas. You will respond promptly to on-call requests, assess patient needs, and provide skilled nursing interventions for pain and symptom management.

This role requires an active Texas RN license and hospice experience is preferred. You will join a team that emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, clear communication, and reliable documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required.
• Hospice experience 1–2 years preferred.
• Strong organizational, assessment, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to on-call requests and triage patient needs.
• Assess patient condition and provide nursing interventions for pain and symptoms.
• Educate patients and families on hospice care and medication administration.
• Document all interactions in the EMR per standards.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team about changes in patient status.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and DME providers as needed.
