Job summary

Generations Hospice is seeking a dedicated RN to join our on-call hospice team in Wisconsin. This on-call role provides 1:1 patient care with after-hours responsibilities and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You'll cover travel throughout the territory, enjoy a sign-on bonus of $7,500, and benefit from a strong support network, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth within Generations Hospice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current state licensure.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical excellence and accurate documentation.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and support families after hours.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medications or adjust care per hospice protocols.
• Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders.
• Offer guidance to patient and family on current status and next steps.
• Pronounce death and coordinate with funeral home when death occurs during on-call hours.
• Complete timely documentation and communication.
