Job summary

Care Initiatives Hospice is seeking a compassionate RN to join our team as a Hospice Nurse - RN on a Weekend On-Call package. You will provide comprehensive end-of-life care across home, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings, guided by the family's needs and the patient's comfort.

You will work full-time, handling weekend on-call shifts and occasional scheduled visits, while collaborating with families and caregivers to ensure dignified, respectful care that aligns with patient

Qualifications

• RN with a minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Ability to provide care in home and facility settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call hospice nursing care on Fridays 4:30PM through Monday 8:00AM, including scheduled visits as assigned.
• Support patients and families during end-of-life care and respond to emergent needs on evenings, weekends and overnight.
• Administer meds, offer patient teaching, and ensure comfort with compassion and dignity.

What you’d do as the Hospice Nurse - RN - On Call Weekend Package:

• This is a full-time role that is takes call from Fridays at 4:30PM until 8:00AM on Monday. Some scheduled visits may also be assigned.
• Support patients and families in the time of their greatest need and respond to emergent needs on weekends, evenings and overnight.
• Assist the caregivers and patients, provide meds available and offer teaching to ensure comfort for pain, breathlessness, dying/transitioning or support at the time of death with compassion, integrity, respect, and dignity in all our interactions.
