Job summary

Care Initiatives Hospice is seeking a compassionate RN to deliver end-of-life care with a 7D on/7D off schedule, meeting patients where they are—at home, a long-term care community, assisted living, or hospital. This role emphasizes holistic care, teamwork with families and caregivers, and supporting patients through pain, breathing symptoms, and transitions with dignity and respect.

A strong candidate has two years of recent nursing experience, CPR certification, and the ability to provide care

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Demonstrated patience and a supportive approach to patient, family, and caregiver support.
• Willingness to provide care in home and facility settings.

Responsibilities

• 7 days on and 7 days off schedule; take calls overnight 4:30 PM–8:00 AM and weekends; some visits may be assigned.
• Support patients and families during end-of-life periods and respond to emergent needs as needed.
• Provide medications available and teach to ensure comfort for pain, breathlessness, dying/transition, or support at time of death with compassion and dignity.
