Job summary

Avow Hospice is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to provide high‑quality medical care at Georgeson Hospice House in Naples, FL. The role supports inpatient care with a flexible schedule of 2-10 hour shifts every other weekend or an alternate 2-8 hour arrangement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or post‑Master’s degree.
• At least 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in hospice, palliative, or related area.
• APRN license in Florida.
• National NP certification.
• DEA registration.
• Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care (ACHPN) or pursuing within 2 years.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care and treatment to patients across care settings under medical director.
• Collaborate with physician and care team for patient and family centered care.
• Perform physical exams within scope of practice and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Document in EMR and complete documentation by day’s end.
• Prescribe or recommend medications aligned with patient care plan.
• Participate in IDT meetings and care coordination.
• Provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
• Teach and mentor staff to improve patient care standards.
