Job summary

Avow Hospice in Naples, FL is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate personal care to hospice patients. The role requires a Florida CNA, English proficiency with Spanish a plus, and a schedule of 8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate ($19.50–$20.50) and requires high standards of documentation, teamwork, and ongoing education to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one to three months related experience or training preferred.
• Successful completion of a nurse aide training program meeting State and Federal requirements; good standing on the Florida State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) and valid Florida Driver's License required; CHPNA recommended after 500 hours or 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and personalized care based on the patient’s Aide Care Plan.
• Assist patient with ADLs and personal hygiene; encourage independence.
• Offer emotional support and communicate with patient/family with respect and dignity.
• Document interactions and care provided; report changes to RN or clinical staff.
• Coordinate with clinicians to ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Participate in IDG and organizational meetings; complete required trainings and tasks.
