Job summary
Visiting Nurse Health System Inc. seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner for its Palliative Division serving Cobb/Carroll counties.
This is a full-time or PRN opportunity, working with a physician to deliver end-of-life care and to advocate for hospice programs while educating healthcare professionals. The NP collaborates to bridge hospitals and hospices, improving care for terminally ill patients and coordinating services across the continuum.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Current Georgia APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- CPR certification required.
- Two years' Medicare management experience preferred.
- Gerontologic NP or Family/Adult NP certification required.
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations applied to home health.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with a physician in an active practice to deliver end-of-life and palliative care.
- Acts as a consultant and educator for healthcare professionals in hospice programs.
- Provides a bridge between hospitals and hospices to improve care for terminally ill patients.
