Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.

About This Role

The Hospice Nurse Manager at Cleveland Clinic is responsible for managing the practice of professional nursing and the delivery of care for patients in their homes. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving patient care standards.

What You'll Do

• Manage practice of professional nursing and delivery of nurse care on assigned department.
• Establish clinical direction for nursing care delivery, provide clinical supervision, and maintain quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with liaison departments to maintain patient care standards and resolve issues affecting service delivery.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies for efficient health service delivery.
• Maintain Joint Commission and other regulatory standards, including Medicare Conditions of Participation.
• Oversee documentation accuracy.
• Manage operation of department and analyze personnel structure.
• Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, and develop strategic plans.
• Participate in the development of orientation programs and hold staff accountable for responsibilities.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budget.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

• Three years of recent nursing clinical experience required
• At least one year of healthcare management experience required
• Previous experience in home health or hospice setting preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current licensure as an RN in the State of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
• Valid Ohio Driver’s license upon hire
• Proof of automobile insurance coverage upon hire
