Job summary

St. Croix Hospice seeks a Music Therapist to deliver personalized music therapy, aligning with each patient’s plan of care and goals. You will assess patients, provide therapy to alleviate anxiety, pain and emotional distress, and support families through life review and legacy projects.

The role collaborates with the RN Case Manager and clinical leadership. The position requires a music degree, valid driver’s license, background screening, and a compassionate approach to care in home settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Music from an accredited school.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test.
• Valid State Driver’s License and access to a reliable automobile.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct music therapy at the direction of the supervisor within the plan of care.
• Assesses patient needs and measures effectiveness of therapy.
• Relieves symptoms and provides comfort—psychological, psychosocial, physical and spiritual.
