Job summary

St. Croix Hospice seeks a Music Therapist to provide personalized music therapy in home-based settings, coordinating with the RN Case Manager and Clinical Services Manager to align with the Plan of Care.

You will assess patients, apply diverse techniques, document outcomes within 24–48 hours, and support comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Requires a music degree; background checks are required; driving is necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Music from an accredited school.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test.
• Valid State Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct music therapy at the direction of the supervisor and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Assesses patient and determines medical indication for services and effectiveness of therapy.
• Relieves symptoms and provides psychological, psychosocial, physical and spiritual comfort.
• Guides patients through therapy interventions to alleviate anxiety, restlessness and pain.
• Maintains records and reports patient progress within 24–48 hours of sessions.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team and organizational in-service education.

Education

Degree in Music from an accredited school

Music Therapy degree (preferred)
