Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Eagan, MN seeks a Music Therapist to provide compassionate therapy aligned with each patient’s Plan of Care, under supervision of Clinical Services. This role emphasizes relief of symptoms, emotional support, and meaningful music interventions at home visits.

The position requires a degree in music and ability to pass background checks; travel is 100% to patient homes, with full-time/part-time options and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Music from an accredited school.
• Ability to pass background, consumer report and drug test.
• Valid State Driver's License and access to an automobile in good working order, with insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct music therapy at the direction of supervisor and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Assess patient and referrals to determine medical indication for services and therapy effectiveness.
• Treat patients to relieve symptoms and provide psychological, psychosocial, physical, and spiritual comfort.
• Direct and aid patients through music therapy interventions to alleviate anxiety, pain, and distress.
• Maintain records and coordinate notes within 24–48 hours of sessions.
