Job summary

Moments Hospice is seeking a Music Therapist to empower patients through personalized music interventions while traveling on the road across the Florida Miami area. You will work closely with our clinical team to alleviate anxiety, depression, and other symptoms, creating comfort in patients during their final days.

The role requires CBMT certification, instrument proficiency, and strong communication skills. A company car and healthcare benefits accompany a rewarding, autonomous hospice setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate of a program focused on music as an intervention for health and wellness.
• Must be Board Certified as a Music Therapist by the CBMT.
• Musical intelligence and mastery of at least one instrument.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations (HIPAA, etc).
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions.
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation through music.
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records (clinical notes, charts, coordination notes) within 24 hours of sessions.
