Gentiva Health Services, Inc. seeks a Hospice Physician to deliver goal-directed hospice care with multidisciplinary collaboration and strict adherence to Medicare and regulatory standards.

The role involves supervising face-to-face visits, ensuring compliant documentation, and leading quality improvement initiatives while serving as a hospital and community liaison for program growth.

Qualificações

• Doctorate in medicine (allopathic or osteopathic) from an accredited school.
• Board certification in a recognized specialty (primary care preferred).
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.
• Active NPI and DEA registrations for controlled substances.
• Hospice/Palliative Medicine board certs preferred or Hospice Medical Director cert.

Responsabilidades

• Certify and recertify hospice eligibility to ensure Medicare and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise face-to-face visits and home consultations for complex cases.
• Provide 24/7/365 on-call coverage coordination with hospice physicians.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation for regulatory reviews.
• Participate in IDG meetings to coordinate care and meds.
• Monitor pharmacy use and appropriate prescribing.
• Collaborate with leadership on policy, QAPI and compliance initiatives.
• Engage community providers to raise hospice visibility.
• Support staff education and partnerships with community partners.
